STRUCTURAL DESIGN - ACCESS AND PLATFORMS
Platforms, handrails, and stairs are an intergral part of industrial projects. The access and passage for safe traffic through process plants, storage warehouses, power stations, and access to crane gantries are typical applications where potential hazards are found. There are standards to comply with when designing access platforms. The Australian Standard AS 1657 provides guidelines to adhere too.

A storage development where stock rotation, picking, and pallete stacking ready for double D semi-trailer loading. A truck is loaded every three minutes. The warehouse is a full automated system by Swisslog Pty Ltd.
