Process Plant Upgrade

The plant upgrade provided an additional product line which was carried out by demolision of the existing furnace, and foreheath, building a larger furnace, and reconfiguring the existing foreheath with additional
branch for the new production line.

The new foreheath branch supplies molten glass to a new fiberizer, which is then transformed into the uncured blanket form on the forming conveyor section, prior to being transported by conveyor into the
curing oven.

The curing oven carries out the thickness sizing before leaving the oven, passing over the cooling conveyor. After the product has cooled then the product passes though a series of operations, sliting, aluminium
backing application, and chopping to final required length before moving through to the roll up machine,
where then the product is conveyed to the bagging machine. After the product has been bagged the
finished product is conveyed to the loading dock for dispatch.

Conveyor Systems

The new line required a conveyor system that ajoined the existing product line. To reduce instalation cost existing structure was utilized
were possible.
